How can I get my 2 year old to stay asleep through the nigtht?

My son i s having a lot of problems with sleeping through the night and I really don't know what to do. I have the bed time routine in place of bath, brush teeth, story time, say our prayers, I sing lullaby's, and then its a hug and a kiss good night. But he will not stay sleep during the night he either wakes up crying and runs in our room or he gets up and comes to our room and climes into bed with me and my husband. I have had to stop letting him take naps because if he does he will not go to sleep until 10 or 11pm and we play the up-down game until he stays in bed and goes to sleep. This is an every night thing that has been going on for awhile now and my husband and I are very tired and don't know what to do. Can anyone please help.

My husband is ten years younger than I am. I have known him for eight years,we have been married for 2. The most difficult years ever. Weeks after we married he started leaving (taking my car)for days at a time.he was always telling me how horrible I was. He said I was evil and would get mad at me for keeping power from him and not telling him the secrets. He said I was not a woman. He called me a (and he knows that I am a saved christian) all the time. He taunted me teased me, erased my phone numbers, stole from me, was in and out of jail (of course me going to get him) totaled my car, cheated, lied, caused me to lose my job, slapped me more than once, etc. I got a break every time he ended up in jail. Sometimes months. They would put him on meds but after release treatment did not continue. I wasnt made aware of his condition until I spoke to the doctors that cared for him. Before that I just prayed and prayed and tried to be strong for whatever would happen next. I couldn't talk to anyone, I didn't want to talk badly of himto anyone regardless of how I felt. I was so lonely and cried more than I ever did my whole life. After I found out his problem I felt some relif and I must admit I also felt burdoned because I had a feeling that this could be a lifetime thing. As things progressed he became more withdrawn and less violent and menacing. He was catatonic at one point and ended up in the hospital twice after fainting.We had been kicked out of my mothers house and were in a shelter at the time. The shelter even asked us to leave because he was making everyone extremely uncomfortable. With absolutely no where to go and felling like I was dragging a corpse around behind me I let him go to his mother. That night he was calling me to come get him. I refused. The next day he was in the hospital.His mother called me to tell me to come out there bedause 3 security guards were chasing him cause he kept trying to leave. he had already been kept invoulentarily and after testing transferred to the phyc.ward. Now he couldnt tell me that nothing was wrong. I told him that we could not be together if he does not take meds. He agreed. He came back, we were still homeless (I lost the last 2 jobs I had dealing with his illness) back in another shelter but thank God he was on meds. Still not his self at all but a far cry from that horrible person I had experienced. With no income,no inurance,extrenely mimimal family support, we could not afford his meds.His outpatient nurse saw that he was 'functioning' (he had a job, we were back at my mothers) after being off meds for a month and discontinued them aganst my will. I did requst a back up med just in case of a relapse. I was so scared and mad at her.Things ended up gradually spiraling downwards.In these last 2 weeks he was fired. He won't bathe or brush his teeth and has an attitude when I mention it. It smells like I live with a bumb sometimes and now he has a mouth infection of some sort.(Lord help me!) There is no conversation we spend most our time in different rooms, we have to leave here very soon because he is now making my mom uncomfortable, yet again (God Bless her for putting up with this).I get no affection, care or concern. what used to be a loving intimate ual relations have become ramdom with no emotion. Every time I leave the house he looks at but won't touch me. wont talk to me. I feel guilty for even writing about this but I feel like I need meds myself. I dont hink he loves me anymore. Not sure how much of his behavior is him and how much is the illness. I wonder if he is only here because he has no where else to go. I kinda wish that he did. I dont have a problem sticking with him. I promised God that I would do that through sickness and health. I just hate to think that I'm going through all of this for someone who is with me by default,Because no one else want him or can handle. I got him to start taking the backup med and he has an appointment in 2 weeks to resume therepy. I try to talk about our relationship when I see a glimpse of lucidity in him but it does not work. I cant wait until he is capable to talk this through. I'm tierd of crying and my heart wrenching. I'm 33 looking like 22 and he is 22 but looks like 30. I want to experience joy and love in my life. Use system restore in XP. Start > Programs > Accessories > System tools > System restore. If you can go back far enough on the calendar, you may be able to restore your previous settings when you were without this problem. If this does not work you can format your hard drive and start again. All data will be lost.

I have a 17 month old son and I am currently pregnant with my ex-boyfriends baby. My ex-boyfriend was my boyfriend up until a few weeks ago. What are some good short film categories for a school club?

I recently started a film club at my high school and we are doing these small short film competitions. What do I use to adhere decorative stones into an interior doorway threshold?

So you'll have an idea.... the living room (carpeting) abuts poured concrete slab (slab was poured atop old metal framework from previously existing slider door). I have removed the concrete slab and exposed the old metal. I would like to fill this with decorative stones, but don't know what to use to keep them in place....an acrylic-based adhesive? Baby using as pacifier all night?

My daughter is 7 months old. From day one I would always get her to sleep by nursing her, and when she woke during the night, I would simply roll over (she sleeps with us) and nurse her back to sleep. This was fine when it was a few times a night, but the past month or perhaps longer, she wakes up all of time and cries until I put my in her mouth - and when I try to pull away after she falls asleep she starts crying again. Last night I felt like I didn't get a wink of sleep because of it. Are there any suggestions other than letting her cry herself back to sleep? The problem is that my 2.5 yr old can hear it from his room and wakes up crying as well if I let her go for more than a minute or two. She has also refused a regular pacifier from day one. Any opinions are appreciated!

ok, so when i wake up in the morning, my stomach mostly flat (i think its cuz i drink green tea...and some other things that have changed. it used to be like this, then it got screwed up, then back to normal again.) but as soon as i take that first bite of food in the morning, bam! my stomach starts to expand. it does this for the whole day, no matter what i do...it didn't used to do this. or at least, not as badly. and my eating habits haven't really changed. then i got indegestion from taking PrevAcid for too long, which, in combination with my birth control (i think) really screwed me up...i'd wake up with most of the fluff i went to bed with, and it just got worse and worse. :(. anyway, when i wake up, its mostly gone, so how do i get rid of "fluff" that's gone the next morning, reappears, etc? i don't even know what's causing it....is it fluid retention? like i said, it never used to do this...i'm still a teenager, and my eating habits haven't really changed. i exercise regularly. i look great when i wake up, but it never lasts! what can i do to prevent this (starting right when i wake up?) every day after breakfast, i drink green tea. every day. help?

The Creative Man VS The Military Man?

Well in the long run I suppose everything you have said is quite true. But who stands between the Creative Man and the various aggressors while they are creating all of those nifty things. How many creative men willingly go into harms way to defend their own right to be creative? Without the Military Man would there be a safe haven for the Creative Man to create? I'm not so sure about that question. And I do believe that creative man is honored every day far more than military men. Don't we all purchase products on a daily basis developed by the creative man. At the same time is there not, at some level in your consciousness an honorable thought for the men and women who afford and give their lives for your right to do it? Crocheters... I have a question about Redheart yarns.?

I've been crocheting blankets for over 40 years (egads!). And when I first started, Redheart was the only yarn available to me. Yes, the feel of that brand is rough and always has been. But! I still have (and use) the afghans I made way back then. The yarn is tough and lasts forever. I've always machine washed them, added softener and dried them in the dryer (only for 5-10 minutes tho). It will soften somewhat over time. The only thing I can recommend is that once the machine is in the rinse cycle with the softener, stop the machine and let it sit in the water for about 20 extra minutes before you restart and let it agitate. Redheart yarn (as long as your shawl is well made) can take machine washing easily. If you're still not sure, put it on the gentle cycle. But if it's softness you want for future projects, try Caron's yarns. That's all I use for afghans now and they can also be machine washed, no problem. And they cost just as much as Redheart, if not less when they go on sale.

My SD card isn't recognised anymore in my PC!?

I used to load my digi cam pics direct to my computer by slotting the SD card into the front of the tower, finding the removable storage in 'My Computer' and clicking on it but when i plugged in the SD card a few days ago it doesn't seem to be recognising it's there. The light by the slot comes on to indicate it recognises something is present but where there used to be a removeable drive showing (H, i think) in 'My Computer' it is now only showing my DVD-RW drive. I have an Advent desktop and am running Windows XP. It was working fine 'til the other day and as far as i am aware i haven't changed anything. Is this a common prob? Can anyone help?

Faint at the slightest pain?

I've never been too bad with pain until just recently, i've had tattoo's and piercings and they haven't bothered me, but just now the slightest pain sends my head spinning my hearing goes fuzzy and I p out, it's not even severe pain, from stubbing my toe to stomach ache. I just banged my knee on the desk and I could feel myself going. Is this something I should go to the doctors about, or is it just something? I've recently been put on betablockers and my mum has an overactive thyroid gland which can be hereditary, could this be it?

I emailed a rare movie dealer on line (waltdisneydvds.com) and asked them how they could supply "genuine" disney dvds i.e. "Beauty and the Beast" without any affiliation from Disney. After checking the BBB website I see that they were rated a C-. I have since decided not to purchase from them bc BATB is coming out of the vault next year and their site does not offer a "genuine guaranteee". Overall, it looks pretty good. I would drop the 2nd kicker and pick up additional depth at RB especially with Washington coming back off a significant injury. Growing bulbs in pots. Hints, tips and advice?

I'm just about to move from a house to a flat with a balcony. I want to have a couple of pots on the balcony, one with a rose bush and lavenders in it and one with bulbs. I know I want Snake's Head Fritillaries, Gladioli and Snowdrops as they're favourites, but what do I have to do about rotating and storing the bulbs? Any other suggestions for seasonal colour (and/or flowers to cut and bring indoors)? I'm also considering herbs in pots - are these best on the balcony or on the kitchen window sill? okay the first thing you have to do is sit and have a talk with your mom. Do this as calmly as possible because one part of being 'grown up' is being able to talk to someone about a touchy subject without having a tantrum if you dont like what you hear (not saying you do but you are 14). So sit with her and explain to her that you feel you cannot grow socially with all the restrictions that she has placed upon you. Next you will tell her to give you a chance to prove to her that you are responsible enough to be able to follow her rules and guidelines even when she is out of sight (ex: being home when she asks you to be. not going to certain areas of town etc) Having said this you have to also understand that if she should grant you these permissions you still have to follow the conditions she sets (ex she says you can go to the park until 5 but you decide to go galavanting around the mall until then. this WILL NOT help you to make her feel comfortable about her decisions if you cant follow a simple rule. Its all about gaining her trust and its up to you to deliver that) Another thing is she is still your legal guardian and regardless of what she decides to do you should respect her decision because not only will you be an adult before you know it but she just really cares about you and doesn't want anything to happen to you. Be nice to your mom and show her you appreciate her.
