Can women get violent in Korea?

My female Korean ESL students told me that when I guy is bothering them (they did not say if the guy was Korean or foreign) that some women will turn around and kick them in groin..Is this tru, most of the female Koreanm students I have had were very quiet, it is hard to imagine this....
