Did i make the right decision?

Yesterday afternoon at school my bf told me that we was breaking up because somebody done lied and told him that i was messing with someone else so he just umed that was without asking me about it first and just broke up with me. I began to cry because my heart was broken then later that day i saw him again walkin down the allway and i stopped him and we talked and i he began to cry too and he told me that he loved me and we would always be friends and everything wont be the same. Then he said "what now"? and i said "i don't know" then he said do you want to go back out i didn't give you a fair chance, its all up to you" then i told him i would think about it then later i made up my mind and said yes and now i don't know if i made the right decision because something just don't feel right. Can somebody tell me if i did the right thing?
