Is reason enough, or do you require a more out of this world answer as to why we are here?

If there is a God (or there is God) then is a human's reasoning enough to understand such a concept? What if God was out of reach to the human intellect in regards to understanding? Probably not a new question, but it might be interesting to see your answers never-the-less.
