The Creative Man VS The Military Man?
Well in the long run I suppose everything you have said is quite true. But who stands between the Creative Man and the various aggressors while they are creating all of those nifty things. How many creative men willingly go into harms way to defend their own right to be creative? Without the Military Man would there be a safe haven for the Creative Man to create? I'm not so sure about that question. And I do believe that creative man is honored every day far more than military men. Don't we all purchase products on a daily basis developed by the creative man. You posted this question on one of them. Are you not honoring him everytime you let your fingers tickle the keyboard, (figuratively of course). At the same time is there not, at some level in your consciousness an honorable thought for the men and women who afford and give their lives for your right to do it? Creative man wins fame and fortune, many people know his name. What does military man garner from his efforts? Well... I'm glad you asked. He receives bits of medal and cloth that mean very little to anyone but him, his loved ones and those who served with him. Well personally I believe that creative man receives at the very least a fair share of the honor and respect. Michelangelo, Rembrandt, Pico, Bethooven, Mozart (I myself honor Chopin often). And leave us not forget Marconi, Bell, Edison and scores of other names that don't come to mind right now. I have just sat here and whipped off nine names right off the top of my head without even thinking about it. Can you or anyone here name an equal number of Military men without thinking about it, (I mean names other than those seen often in movies on AMC to TMC)? Who really receives more honors? Not my place to say, we have free will. You choose or perhaps even honor them both equally in your own way. Well that's my response. Please believe me I do not mean to argue with you. You asked, I responded freely, (another benefit we all enjoy paid for by the military man). Good luck to you my friend. I really enjoyed letting my own fingers tickle the keys on this one.
