Since the Catholic Church's moral teachings *obviously* never change, how do Catholics get home and car loans?

They do what Catholics throughout the middle ages did ... borrow money from someone who's not Catholic (the Jews were the bankers to Europe in the Middle Ages for just this reason). Banks aren't Catholic or even people, they're corporations, so there's no problem borrowing money from them.
