A question about driving?

I think my sisters are good drivers, and so is a friend of mine. But, some people say that women shouldn't be behind the wheel of a vehicle, and I suspect they some also say that political correctness, and affirmative action are the only reason women get a right, and licensed to drive a car. What's the logic behind all this? Is driving considered a man's thing?
