67 Bible pages speak of a motionless, fixed earth. None speak of a 6000yr+ earth. So why do so many....?

Bible interpretation is handed down from an authority figure. If the authority figures have decided that they look ridiculous for claiming that the earth is stationary, they teach that those pages are just poetic. If the authority figures have not yet realized that they look out of step for believing in a young earth, they will continue to teach the young earth interpretation until they decide to throw that one out the window and declare it "poetic."
