Can a Sole Proprietorship be transferred to someone else? ?

A friend of mine wants to sell me her Sole Proprietorship dog walking business, however since it's Sole Proprietorship it may not be that easy. I want to keep the same name she already registered. Please give me as much advice as possible. Should her and I go LLC?
