Choose the scope for my .300 and .223 ?

Put the 4-16 back on the 223 then mate the other 2. If they don't work try a swarowski as they have the best optics. If you want proof just do a side-by-side comparison with a similar leupold (every1 on this site raves about leupold but i don't know why) at your local gunshop at dusk.
